Before you book

Keefer Lake Lodge is near Cherryville, British Columbia and is located at approximately 1400m elevation.

Keefer Lake Lodge is on Highway 6 about 85KM southeast of Vernon, BC. It takes just over an hour from Vernon to the lodge. It takes about two (2) hours from the Kelowna International Airport (YWL) to the lodge.

If you are travelling from Vernon, you’ll drive through Cherryville at the halfway point. From Frank’s Store (Tempo gas station) to Keefer Lake Road where you turn off the highway is 37.6 kms. From Gold Panner Resort to Keefer Lake Road is 26.2 kms. Take a left onto Keefer Lake Road and stay immediately left. Follow the main road (do not take the logging road on your right-hand side) until you go over the bridge 1.5 km in. At 1.7 km in there is a T in the road, take the right T and follow the main road right to our Lodge 14kms in. At 13 km there is a Y in the road, take the right Y and drive up to the Black Bear Lodge entrance for valet service.

No, Keefer Lake Lodge is not available for individual stays. If you are interested in staying at Keefer Lake Lodge, we encourage you to book a private event.

Yes, we work closely with Après Tours to be able to offer a shuttle option to our guests.

If you are part of our Catski program, your shuttle is included in your package with pick up and drop off at the Kelowna international airport.

If you are hosting an event at Keefer Lake Lodge, please contact the Guest Relations team about your interest in a shuttle and they will be able to assist you.

Yes, we welcome well-mannered dogs in the lodge and bedrooms. If you are planning to bring your dog, please reach out to the Guest Relations team and they will provide you with the proper practices that must be followed. There is a fee of $25 per dog per night. Please note that Keefer Lake Lodge does have dogs that stay on the property year-round.

If you need to cancel of modifying or booking, please review the Terms & Conditions of your booking. We highly recommend Trip Interruption and Cancellation Insurance solely for the benefit of our guests as no refunds or credits will be issued. Please spend a few moments to review and purchase Trip Interruption and Cancellation Insurance.

If you are concerned you may have to cancel, this is your only option to obtain a refund.

Before You Come

Slippers or in-door lodge shoes—our floors are delicate and slippery when wet, so we encourage that no outside shoes are worn inside. Although its wonderfully comfortable to walk around in your socks, we do recommend wearing slippers.

Bathing suits - we have a hot tub, sauna, and lake onsite that is available for guests use. You won’t want to miss relaxing and playing in these amenities during your stay.

Camera – you will want to capture every moment of your trip!

Due to the specifics of British Columbia Liquor Laws, any alcohol on the premises must be purchased under our liquor license. As a result, guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol to Keefer Lake Lodge. GKLL’s bar, The Twisted Post, is stocked with a full selection of beer and spirits and has a full range of British Columbian and international wines. If you have any special requests, please contact the Guest Relations team and we will do our best to bring in your requested items for your arrival.

Guests can enjoy excellent Wi-Fi facilities, however there is no cellular service at the lodge. If you wish to make or receive phone calls, there are a few options available to you:

1. You can set-up Wi-Fi-Calling* on your mobile device prior to arriving at Keefer which will enable you to make and receive calls & text messages from your personal number.

*Please note Wi-Fi Calling can only be set-up whilst your mobile device has cellular service and is connected to Wi-Fi.

2. Guests are welcome to use our lodge phone to make calls. Simply speak to a member of the team and they will be happy to assist you.

3. Wi-Fi based applications like Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger should work without issue if you are connected to our Wi-Fi.

While You're Here

Yes, Keefer Lake is open for guest use. The lake can be best enjoyed during July and August for swimming. Although, the cold temperatures of the lake can make the perfect spot for a cold plunge during the fall season.

Yes, Keefer Lake has several species of fish in the lake including Brook and Rainbow Trout. If you are planning on fishing, please come with the proper licensing and documentation that is required by the Government of British Columbia. Please review the legal fishing requirements outlined by the Government of British Columbia here: B.C. Recreational Freshwater Fishing Licence - Province of British Columbia (gov.bc.ca). Additionally, please note that only battery-powered motors are allowed on boats.

Guests are welcomed to use all amenities unless otherwise specified by our Lodge Manager or lodge staff during your stay.

Our Twisted Post bar hosts a full array of delights to cater to your favourite drink or cocktail and a lounge that offers ample seating for friends to gather. As well as we have a hot tub and sauna for moments of warmth and relaxation. In our games room, please feel free to enjoy a game of darts, pool, foosball, or ping-pong. Interested in a game outside? No problem, there are various amounts of outside activities such as, kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and fishing boats available during the summer.
