Heart-Thumping Adventure
On the way up in the snowcat, excitement builds as you climb each peak. A typical run of 2000ft vertical takes about 20 minutes to ascend. Once on the top of the peak, you’ll be able to see endless views and on the way down you will carve lines on untouched powder of the Monashee Mountains. It takes roughly 20 minutes to complete each run and when you reach the bottom, your cat will be ready and waiting for you, warm and comfortable. You’ll enjoy the social aspect of the snowcat ride back up—everyone is stoked about their last few turns, tumbles, or tail grabs and planning the next run. Personalized lunches, hot coffee or tea, and cat-snacks will be served on the cat and then it’s onto the next run!
There is no limit on the number of runs we will do in a day—it depends on the ability of the group. We are typically back at the lodge for Après by 4:00pm.
Shreddin' Pow
The cat will drop you at the top where guides will help lay out skis and boards and direct you where to ski. Once they give the green light you and your ski buddy can let em' rip! Once the run is finished, the cat will meet you at the bottom so you get back up there and do another!
A typical day might have you ski 7 to 12 runs per day and about 15,000 to 20,000 vertical feet. We try to give our guests a full ski day—about 7 to 8 hours. Terrain will be a mix of big open bowls, rolling meadows, steep trees runs, cliffs, chutes, open tree burns, rock gardens, fluffy pillows, and long, soft, endlessly falling tree lines.
Most days you’ll do a variety of runs. Weather and snow conditions rule, as well as the riding ability of the group. On the day, the guides will lead you to the best runs and the most skiing possible that day.
Laid Back Luxury
While we all know you are in it for the pow turns, when you are off the mountain there are plenty of great things to keep you loving lodge life. Start your morning with a wholesome breakfast in the beautifully crafted dining room then make your way down to the locker rooms to suit up for the days Catskiing adventure. When you return from a full day of riding, you’re will be welcomed to a patio party Après Ski. Following that you are invited to utilize our amenities, such as the hot tub, sauna, massage, Twisted Post Bar, and lively games room. In the evenings, you and your fellow guests will enjoy a social dinner featuring an exquisite three-course dinner. As evening rolls in, the photographers gather the troops into the lounge for a slideshow presentation of the best pow shots and tumbles of the day.
